Position: Registered Nurse (Cardiovascular Unit - CVU)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (91 Days)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Schedule

Shift: Days
Hours: 12-hour shifts
Start Time: 7:00 AM

Requirements

Current California RN License
Current BLS
Current ACLS
Epic charting experience
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience
Successful completion of previous travel assignments
Must be willing to float to other units, including Med/Surg

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years Critical Care RN experience
Epic EMR experience
Previous travel assignment experience

Required Certifications

California RN License
BLS
ACLS

Key Responsibilities

Provide care for medium to high acuity cardiovascular patients.
Care for patients with cardiac diagnoses including:
- Pre/Post CABG
- Carotid Endarterectomy
- Acute Myocardial Infarction (MI)
- Post Pacemaker Insertion
- Arrhythmias
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Pneumonia and other complex medical conditions
Perform ongoing patient assessments and interventions.
Administer medications and treatments.
Document patient care in Epic.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Float to Med/Surg or other units as needed.
