Part-time Recreation Lead Staff

Position: Recreation Lead Staff – Wakefield, MA Pay rate: $20.00 per hour Hours: Part‑time, schedule may vary (2‑10 hours per week) Summary & Responsibilities Lead various recreation programs including social outings, arts and crafts, sports, fitness, dance, swimming, cooking, and educational activities. Work flexible hours, especially late afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Supervise participants, transportation, and small group activities. Supervise recreation assistants and volunteers. Collaborate with community resources such as YMCA athletic clubs, schools, churches, city recreation departments, and Special Olympic programs. Provide direct support and contact with individuals and caretakers. Perform emergency duties (e.g., calling emergency services, providing transportation). Administrative tasks: create and follow program outlines, take attendance/registration, track volunteer hours, assist in program evaluation, attend required meetings and trainings. Qualifications High School diploma required. Minimum one‑year related experience with persons with developmental disabilities or recreation/sports activity leadership. Preferred: at least one year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities. Passion and dedication to supporting our people. Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
