Job Summary:
The respiratory therapist specializing in pediatrics in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is responsible for providing respiratory care in a Level III trauma center with a comprehensive stroke designation. The position involves managing ventilators, administering therapies such as CPAP and BiPAP, and performing procedures like intubation and extubation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The assignment begins on 08/03/2026.

Job Details:

• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0
• Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) license; BLS certification; ACLS certification; 1 year of relevant experience; location in the United States
• Schedule: Weekend rotation every other weekend; on-call varies; up to 7 days off can be approved; holiday schedule varies; block scheduling will NOT be accommodated
• Support on the Unit: Charting System/Equipment - EPIC; Pyxis; AVEA ventilators; Servo U ventilators; LPU 1200 ventilators; parapack vents for MRI; Hamilton vents for transport
• Floating: Float rotation may be required across hospital units
• Additional Information: Candidate will work with patient types mainly geriatrics and adults, with some pediatric patients in the Emergency Department; patient ratios are 1:1; orientation includes at least one shift; adheres to a fatigue policy limiting work to 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts; scrubs of any color except camo or denim; parking is free, varies across the hospital
