Overview Registered Nurses (RN) play a pivotal role in the nursing industry, providing critical care and support to patients across a variety of healthcare settings. These professionals are responsible for assessing patient conditions, recording medical histories, administering treatments, performing diagnostic tests, and educating patients on their illnesses or injuries. RNs are also essential in implementing and evaluating patient care plans, communicating with healthcare teams, and advocating for patient rights. They may specialize in various areas such as critical care, pediatrics, or geriatrics.
