Clinical Supervisor

The Mental Health Therapist Clinical Supervisor Contractor Liaison is responsible for providing high-quality clinical supervision to a team of 15 contract therapists. This role ensures adherence to ethical standards, state and federal regulations, and agency policies. The Supervisor will support therapist development through regular feedback, documentation review, and clinical guidance. This position plays a critical role in maintaining clinical excellence, promoting professional growth, and ensuring the delivery of effective, ethical, and culturally responsive care. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision to 15 contract therapists, including non-independently licensed clinicians. Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, licensure standards, and regulatory requirements. Monitor therapist productivity and offer constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. Review session recordings and documentation to provide clinical and ethical feedback. Conduct monthly group supervision and participate in individual supervision meetings (weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly). Maintain accurate and thorough supervision notes in accordance with licensure and agency standards. Be available for emergency on-call consultation as needed. Assist therapists with treatment planning and referrals to external specialists. Educate supervisees on systemic psychotherapy principles and support their professional development. Attend all mandatory agency meetings and adhere to internal policies and procedures. Perform contract review meetings with contractors, as needed. Demonstrates a community-minded approach and actively contributes to building and maintaining a strong client base. Job Requirements/Qualifications Education & Licensure Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field. Independent clinical licensure (e.g., LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or equivalent) with supervisor designation. Licensed or willing to become licensed in the state of New Mexico. Experience Minimum 5 years of independent licensure. At least 2 years of direct clinical experience, preferably with supervisory responsibilities. Experience working in behavioral health or mental health settings. Skills Clinical Expertise : Proficient in DSM-5-TR diagnosis and evidence-based treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy). Supervision Competency : Knowledge of supervision models and ethical considerations in supervisory roles. Communication : Strong active listening, empathy, and feedback delivery skills. Evaluation & Feedback : Ability to assess clinical performance and provide actionable guidance. Crisis Management : Skilled in risk assessment and guiding supervisees through high-risk client situations.
