Job Description

The MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a general medical surgical unit. The staffing plan supports a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, which may flex to 1:7 depending on staffing needs. RNs will be required to work every other weekend and may float within the scope to meet facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform patient assessments.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor vital signs and manage patient telemetry.
• Provide wound care and support for surgical drains.
• Assist with rapid response and manage dysrhythmias as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of MedSurg nursing experience preferred.
• Current South Carolina RN license or Compact license required.
• BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
