Job Description
Title: Intermediate Care Unit - Telemetry

Schedule:
- Shift: Days
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend

Assignment Details:
- Guaranteed hours: 36 hrs/week for 3x12; 48 hrs/week for 4x12

Requirements:
- Minimum experience: 1 year
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, NIHSS
- Core clinical skills: cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, post-MI and pre/post cardiac cath care, pacemaker monitoring, care of post-ICU and post-CVA patients
- Charting system: EPIC

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for adults requiring cardiac monitoring.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data, recognizing dysrhythmias.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed, including care for post-MI and post-cardiac catheterization patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care post-discharge.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Parking cost: None
- Fit testing: Facial hair must allow proper fit testing (may be asked to shave)
