Pay Range Anticipated Hiring Pay: $20.25 hourly Full Pay Range: $20.25 - $32.50 hourly Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. A higher wage would only be offered based on direct court-related or legal experience (i.e. such as that with a law firm). Additional questions regarding pay can be discussed with HR during the hiring process if you are offered a position. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek. Work With Us | Maricopa County, AZ We Require Two years of clerical, administrative, or customer service experience One year working at the Clerk of Superior Court as a Justice System Clerk Associate High school diploma or GED A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis We Also Value Clerical, administrative, or customer service experience in a court-related or cash-handling environment Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills (moderate proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the Spanish language) Job Contributions Performs extensive cashiering functions at public file counters; collects and processes fees, payments, and bonds; performs extensive processing of public records Receives and processes a high quantity of documents and public records from the general public, internal and external customers, legal community, and/or other governmental agencies. Provides extensive customer service by responding to a high volume of written and verbal inquiries from a variety of sources; completes extensive case and file research for customers; seals and/or redacts documents and files per court order and/or maintains all sealed, confidential, and discovery materials; processes various complex orders from the Court; and handles the processing of exhibits. Reviews, files, and processes new complaints, petitions, exhibits, post-decrees, and subsequent documents, sets hearings, and generates minute entries. Performs Special Commissioner, Probate Registrar, and/or Notary functions as necessary. Performs data entry functions in automated court systems. Cross-trains to perform back-up assistance in other areas or assignments and provides training to coworkers. Performs other duties as assigned.
