Position Summary In performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, dust, airborne particles, loud noises and vibration. The employee will be standing for long periods, required to climb stairs and move equipment, and exposed to high noise levels; ear and eye protection is required and other personal protective equipment may be required depending on job duties. Position Responsibilities Prepare and organize equipment before shift starts, operate, and change parts if needed Perform visual inspection of the product and documentation Operate machinery designated by line Report any material that does not meet high quality standards Complete and fill out documentation Report any issues with machinery or product, including metal detector, to upper management Perform proper cleaning procedures for machine and floors between products and as needed Eliminate any possible cross‑contamination of product in the area Maintain proper wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure safety for self and others, including hair nets, safety glasses, lab coats, safety shoes, etc. Maintain all equipment in good condition during usage, storage and sanitation Keep good housekeeping practices throughout the company, especially in assigned areas Perform inspection of machinery, including pre‑operational inspections Familiarize with and obtain knowledge through operating systems (RedZone) Perform other duties as assigned Position Requirements Preferred experience operating manufacturing machinery High School Diploma required Preferred experience in food manufacturing environment Preferred experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Ability to work with a positive attitude in a high‑stress environment Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred Must be able to work in a team environment Must have good written and oral communication skills Flexible availability to work Saturdays due to business needs Pay The pay for this role in the state of NJ is $17.70/hr and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location.
