Senior BI Engineer

Focusing on data infrastructure and governance, the contract Remote Senior BI Engineer will manage Snowflake transformation processes, optimize complex SQL transformations, and design scalable LookML models while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities Own and enhance Snowflake transformation processes within the Daasity ELT framework Write, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL transformations and manage data refresh strategies Design and maintain scalable LookML models while establishing governance standards for metrics and data consistency Required qualifications 5+ years in BI/analytics engineering with production Looker/LookML experience 4+ years of advanced SQL experience in Snowflake or a comparable cloud warehouse Direct experience with retail/ecommerce data models, including DTC platforms and ERPs Experience with vendor-managed ELT/transformation frameworks Demonstrated ownership of data governance practices and ability to produce data lineage documentation
