We are partnering with the Rhode Island Office of the Attorney General to hire a Legal Clerk. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate criminal history records while providing professional service to law enforcement agencies, the courts, attorneys, and members of the public.
Compensation & Highlights:
Pay Rate : $27.16 per hour
Location: Cranston, RI
Schedule: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with one weekend shift every 5-6 weeks.
Legal Clerk Responsibilities:
Review, classify, and accurately process criminal offense information, court dispositions, arrest records, and related documentation in accordance with established procedures
Prepare, organize, scan, file, and distribute criminal justice documents while maintaining complete and accurate records.
Perform a variety of clerical duties, including processing correspondence, maintaining files, assisting with fingerprint and background check documentation, and supporting departmental operations.
Legal Clerk Qualifications:
Previous administrative, records management, data entry, customer service, or clerical experience required.
Experience in a criminal justice, legal, law enforcement, or government environment is preferred.
Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
