Job Title: Multi-Craft Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: West Columbus, OH Area (Manufacturing/Industrial Client)

Shift: Weekend Shift Friday - Sunday 6 am to 6:30 pm

Job Summary
The primary function of the Maintenance Technician is to support Production Operations by maintaining and repairing all aspects of plant equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring operational efficiency and safety. The technician will also support general plant infrastructure, including air compressors, stamping presses, and production support equipment.

Key Responsibilities (What You'll Be Doing)

• Electrical Maintenance (Approx. 45% of time): Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install up to 480V, 3-phase power to equipment. Work with PLCs, VFDs, and Eddy current drives.
  
  
• Mechanical Systems (Approx. 40% of time): Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install A/C and D/C motor controls and combustion systems, including pumps, motor gearbox assemblies, and conveyor systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical drive systems.
    
    
  • Perform preventative maintenance functions as scheduled.
    
    
• Control Systems (Approx. 15% of time): Program and troubleshoot through the PLC ladder logic.
  
  
• General Duties:
  • Respond to production and facility needs, including equipment breakdown, machine upgrades, and/or adjustments.
    
    
  • Perform repairs on facility utility systems (e.g., hot water boilers, electrical MCC).
    
    
  • Complete work orders and record equipment parts usage/needs, PM completions, and daily activities within a CMMS system.
    
    
  • Capable of working independently on machine repairs.
    
    

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education/Experience: Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred, or 3-5 years of related industrial maintenance technician experience.

• Technical Skills:
  • Electrical: Knowledge of electrical systems up to 480 Volt 3 phase. Capable of troubleshooting motor control circuits, VFD programming, and equipment control circuits (e-stops, photo eyes, prox sensors, safety circuits).
    
    
  • Mechanical: Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Experience in production machine repair, fabrication, and facility maintenance.
    
    
  • Fabrication/Welding: Skilled in custom metal fabrication and welding (TIG/MIG) to modify or repair machinery, effectively reducing downtime.
    
    
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to assess and repair equipment using OEM specification guides, schematics, and pneumatics.
    
    
• Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  
  
• Work Environment: Comfortable with potential exposure to heat, cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $35.00
