MIG Welder Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials (BOMs), work orders, and welding specifications. Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel components, including tubing, pipe, and fabricated assemblies. Fabricate, fit, and assemble parts according to engineering drawings and production requirements. Produce consistent, high-quality welds that meet company and customer specifications. Inspect completed welds and assemblies for accuracy, strength, and quality. Operate pneumatic tools, grinders, and general hand tools safely and efficiently. Use measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances. Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all safety procedures and quality standards. Meet daily production goals while maintaining workmanship standards. Requirements for MIG Welder: - High School Diploma, GED, or HSED required. - 15 years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred. - Ability to successfully pass a welding test. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings. - Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Ability to perform repetitive hand and eye coordination tasks throughout the shift. - Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout an 8-hour shift. - Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. - Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding equipment.
