Senior Product Engineer (Defense/C-UAS)

Opportunities Our client is a fast-growing technology company developing advanced vision-based systems for complex operational environments. Following the launch of a new US presence, they are hiring their first US-based Senior Product Engineer, a hands‑on technical leader who will guide products from early customer conversations through onsite deployment and performance validation. This is a hands‑on engineering role, not a solutions architect or pre‑sales overlay. You'll be writing code, calibrating hardware, and troubleshooting in the field. What You'll Do Lead end-to-end integration, installation, and deployment of AI vision systems onto customer platforms (armored vehicles, drones) at US government and partner facilities Write and modify production-level Python code to tailor system outputs and interfaces to specific platform requirements Run hands‑on technical demonstrations and field experiments directly with end-users Serve as the primary technical bridge between US clients/partners and the global R&D headquarters Manage local technical activities including specialized hardware handling and subcontractor coordination Travel ~4050% across the US to client sites (Detroit, Maryland, Virginia area) Qualifications Required 68+ years in an R&D engineering capacity (not IT, DevOps, or QA) Production-level Python and Linux proficiency writing and modifying code, not just scripting BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics Demonstrated history of delivering a technical product through field testing and integration to end‑users Background in defense, aviation, or robotics Eligibility for US Security Clearance Advantageous Hardware integration experience: ROS, serial communications, camera calibration Computer vision, machine learning, or deep learning knowledge Video streaming protocols and tools (GStreamer, FFmpeg) Hands‑on experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms (DeepStream, TensorRT) Why this Role You'll be the founding US technical presence for a company whose technology is already deployed and battle-tested, joining at an inflection point, with direct influence over how the US operation scales.
