Be our next Structural Designer/Engineer for building projects (Aviation, Transit and Mission Critical). Your work environment at EXP In this role, you will be part of a Building Structures focused team and reporting to the Director of Building Structures. This position will be located in the Columbus, OH office. The Building Structures team executes projects throughout the United States and several US Territories. Opportunities to support non‑US based teams within EXP are also expected. You will work with a diverse in‑house team of professionals and subconsultants throughout the country in all disciplines, collaborating with experienced members for mentoring and career development. Responsibilities Take direction from senior engineers and project leads; expect autonomy and independence commensurate with experience. Perform calculations, sketches, drawing production, specifications and multi‑discipline coordination on a regular basis. Observe and evaluate existing conditions in the field and via existing historical drawings. Work on multiple projects concurrently, coordinating work between multiple EXP offices and outside consultants. Occasional short‑term travel to project sites, typically one night or two at a time. Work flexible hours and attend the office in a hybrid schedule. Qualifications 0–3 years of experience with a focus on building design. Solid understanding of structural analysis software such as RAM, RISA, ETABS. Strong Revit skills for modeling and sheet creation; additional skills in family creation, parameter use and templates are a plus. Working toward an EIT. Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred; at least a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structures or relevant advanced coursework. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write persuasively and communicate technical subject matter to a non‑technical audience.
