Tax Director
Dynamic regional CPA firm in San Jose, CA is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team. This role offers a balanced work life, competitive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth. Join a diverse team working with a mix of SEC and private clients across various industries!
Responsibilities
- Review and approve complex tax returns and audits.
- Offer expertise in specific industries or disciplines.
- Manage client service tasks within budget constraints.
- Handle larger tax returns and delegate work as needed.
- Participate in client meetings and tax planning efforts.
- Provide guidance on tax issues to staff and clients.
- Stay informed on tax developments affecting clients.
- Manage tax examinations and represent clients to tax authorities.
- Train and develop junior staff members.
- Oversee billing processes and collections.
Qualifications
- Minimum seven years of public accounting experience.
- Experience representing clients to taxing authorities required.
- Supervisory experience in tax preparation.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA license.
- Continuous education and knowledge of tax laws.
- Active member of AICPA.
