Role Description The Electrical Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New York. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical projects from planning through completion. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating project schedules, managing budgets, and supervising field teams to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification. The role involves reviewing drawings and technical documentation, procuring materials and equipment, and liaising with clients, general contractors, and inspectors. The Electrical Project Manager will monitor progress, resolve on-site issues, ensure compliance with codes and standards, and prepare regular status reports. This position also contributes to process improvements, risk management, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage electrical projects end-to-end, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction practices, local codes, and safety regulations relevant to commercial and residential projects.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience coordinating field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, with a focus on quality and safety.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, contractors, inspectors, and internal teams.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
• Competence with project management and office software (e.g., MS Office suite, project scheduling tools, Procore, Planswift).
• Prior experience as an Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Engineer, or similar role in the construction or electrical contracting industry is required.
