Respiratory Therapist

Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion - Aurora, CO. Department: Respiratory Care. FTE: 0.9 (Full Time). Hours: 72.00 per pay period (2 weeks). Shift: Nights. Pay: $31.61 - $47.41 per hour (dependent on experience). Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). State licensure. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. NRP obtained within 1 year if assigned to NICU (tracked on unit). PALS obtained within 1 year if assigned to ED (tracked on unit). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). BLS or CPR card (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) good through sixty days of hire. Responsibilities Provides top of scope practice in direct patient care using respiratory therapy protocols and best practices to promote optimized care and effective partnership with multidisciplinary teams. Prioritizes wellness, patient perspective, and evidence‑based practice. Models proficiency by precepting new staff and supporting UCHealth initiatives. Welcomes new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinic environment. Contributes to safety, quality, and secure care at the point of care. Manages ventilator integration for adaptive pulmonary support and airway management across multiple care levels. Encourages internal growth via clinical and process improvement projects at unit, division, regional, or system levels.
