Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician's Assistant) General Surgery

Description This on-site, contract position provides an exceptional opportunity to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced medical practice environment. In this role, you will collaborate closely with surgeons and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality surgical care. Your expertise will be essential in assessing patients, assisting in surgical procedures, and providing post-operative care. Responsibilities Assist in surgical procedures and ensure patient safety Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with surgeons Monitor patients' progress and adjust care plans as necessary Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and education Maintain accurate and detailed patient records Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and best practices in surgical care Requirements Associate degree in Nursing or a related field Current NP or PA licensure in the state of Texas Experience in general surgery or a related medical field Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care protocols Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required Schedule: Weekends, 6a-6p Duties: Inpatient consultation coverage for general surgery/trauma adult patient populations Support Staff: Nurses EMR: eCW Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses #J-18808-Ljbffr 77 consultants
