About the Role:
Small Hands Change the World is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team in Milwaukee, WI! This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners while working in a nurturing, mission-driven environment where every child matters.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum activities
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student development, growth, and learning milestones
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
• Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and developmental documentation
• Collaborate with staff to ensure program goals and educational standards are met

Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Prior experience in a lead teacher or classroom leadership role
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass a background check as required by state licensing
• Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for working with children
