Senior Office Administrator (Business Office) - Long Term Care

Senior Office Administrator at Rockingham County supports the Fiscal and Reception Services Manager, performing complex accounting functions, internal audits, collections, reporting, and administrative tasks for the Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and Ernest P. Barka Assisted Living Community. Scope of Position Provides support to the Fiscal and Reception Services Manager through accounting functions, audits, collections, and Medicaid application coordination, serving as the primary resource for residents, families, and other responsible parties navigating the Medicaid process. Responsibilities Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts and expenditures, and manage Resident Fund Account transactions. Assist with collections efforts, generate reports, and maintain records for regulatory compliance. Process mail and support budget and audit activities. Coordinate Medicaid applications, documentation collection, eligibility tracking, redeterminations, appeals, and ongoing communication with the Division of Health and Human Services. Work closely with Admissions, Fiscal Services, residents, families, attorneys, insurance companies, and state agencies to ensure timely financial assistance. Provide leadership and oversight to Fiscal Services support staff in the absence of the Fiscal and Reception Services Manager. Adhere to required working hours as scheduled. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field from an accredited college or technical school preferred. Five (5) years of related experience. One (1) to three (3) years of experience in the Long Term Care Medicaid application process preferred. Two (2) years of demonstrated supervisory experience.
