This mid-shift Forklift Operator role focuses on safe and efficient material handling within a warehouse environment. You receive product via railcar and truckload, scan and store it in designated locations, pick and stage orders, and load outbound trailers while performing required inspections. You maintain accurate inventory records, follow established standard operating procedures, and help keep the facility and equipment clean and safe. While the position is primarily forklift operation, you also support general warehouse functions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle all material movement within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, staging, and loading products.
• Receive product via railcar and truckload, including scanning and putting away items in correct warehouse locations.
• Pick customer orders accurately, including staging and scanning products before shipment.
• Load material into outbound trailers and perform trailer inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain 100% inventory integrity by accurately tracking product quantities and locations.
• Accurately record and submit product locations in the inventory system.
• Record and submit location changes when products are moved within the warehouse.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including cleaning and maintaining forklift and clamp equipment.
• Follow and maintain all standard operating procedures (SOPs) documents and processes as required.
• Scan products into and out of the Abecas system using barcoding scanners when required.
• Ensure all paperwork related to product movement and inventory is completed accurately and submitted to the office for processing.
• Complete the Daily Building Checklist by performing all assigned tasks each day.
• Support general warehouse functions as needed, such as assisting with non-forklift tasks when required.

Essential Skills

• Proven ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with material handling, including receiving, storing, picking, staging, and loading products.
• Ability to use barcoding scanners to scan products into and out of inventory systems such as Abecas.
• Strong attention to detail to maintain 100% inventory integrity and accurate product location records.
• Ability to follow and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation requirements.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment, including care and maintenance of forklift and clamp equipment.
• Ability and willingness to support general warehouse functions in addition to primary forklift duties.
• Capability to perform trailer inspections and follow safety-sensitive procedures as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Active forklift operating certificate is preferred; onsite recertification is available if the certification is expired.
• Ability to provide a copy of an active forklift certification if currently certified.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive position and comply with all related policies and screening requirements.
• Capability to work a mid-shift schedule and reliably complete daily assigned tasks.
• Steel-toed shoes required as part of the safety attire.

Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse setting with a mid-shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. You primarily operate a sit-down forklift and may use clamp equipment and barcoding scanners integrated with the Abecas inventory system. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to daily building checklists and SOPs. You work around railcar and truckload deliveries, outbound trailers, and active material handling operations. Steel-toed shoes are required as part of the dress code, and you are expected to maintain a neat, safe workspace while occasionally supporting general warehouse tasks beyond forklift operation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fullerton, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
