LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to join a growing finance team here in Columbus, OH, primarily focused on accounts payable work. This position plays an important role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor payments while supporting day-to-day accounts payable operations. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong business relationships, and resolving issues through effective communication and problem-solving.

• Process and review invoices to ensure accuracy, proper approvals, and compliance with internal procedures.

• Support timely and accurate vendor payments while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and business partners.

• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and account inquiries.

• Respond to vendor requests regarding payment status, remittance details, and account information.

• Monitor open invoice and aging reports, proactively identifying and addressing outstanding issues.

• Assist with vendor onboarding, including collecting and maintaining required payment documentation.

• Collaborate with accounting, operations, and other internal departments to resolve transaction-related concerns.

• Maintain electronic records and supporting documentation for accounts payable transactions.

• Provide general administrative and customer service support related to accounts payable activities.

• Cross-train within the accounting department and provide backup support when needed.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.

• Prior experience in accounts payable, accounting support, customer service, or administrative functions preferred.

• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven problem-solving abilities and customer-focused approach.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience working with accounting or ERP systems is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage changing priorities.

• Professional demeanor with excellent relationship-building skills.

• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
