Customer Sales & Service Representative

Job Description As a Customer Service Representative at Applied Industrial Technologies, you will provide expert assistance to customers, build ongoing business relationships, and help resolve issues that affect equipment performance. This role is the foundation for future sales or management opportunities within a global industrial distribution company. Responsibilities Assist customers by phone and in person at the facility. Clarify customer needs, perform research, and recommend parts after training. Meet or exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction. Process quotes, take orders, and provide post‑order service. Utilize mechanical aptitude to help solve customer problems when necessary. Qualifications 6 months of customer service experience preferred. Excellent telephone and written skills, including English grammar. Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly. Comfortable with computers and basic Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel) and Google search. High‑school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR). Experience with SAP/ERP is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of industrial distribution products and hydraulics preferred. Attention to detail, accuracy, and multitasking skills.
