Senior Software Engineer (Java)Location: Durham, NC, Jersey City NJ, Remote till covidDuration: 12+ monthsJob Description:Actively developed solutions on projects using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and ORM technologies.Designed and developed various SOA solutions using SOAP and REST.Experience of messaging frameworks such as Kafka, Solace and JMS.Proven hands-on experience working with cloud migration and implementation of various tools on compute, network, and storage.Expertise in IAAS, PAAS, AWS EC2, S3, AWS Batch, IAM and cloud resources.Experience with serverless architecture and docker containerization.Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.Expertise in developing and consuming APIs and micro-services to facilitate data access, business logic and workflows.Experience with relational databases, NoSQL databases.Knowledge in Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.Engineering Leadership:Actively participate solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.Investigating problem areas and following the software development lifecycle.Documenting and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
