Job Details: St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center – Columbiana, OH 44408 Responsibilities Admitting new residents Performing ongoing assessments of residents’ physical and mental health Explaining procedures and treatment protocols to residents Plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration Provides routine care for patients Reviews medical charts Assists physicians and registered nurses Communicates with patients and their families Prepares specimens for lab courier Administers medications and monitors catheters Provides wound care and prepares/administers injections Assists with patient comfort Qualifications Medical knowledge Patience Compassion Kindness Critical thinking skills Knowledge of infection control practices Observational skills Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules Communication skills Empathy #J-18808-Ljbffr
