As an Assistant Tax Credit Property Manager at Renaissance Park Apartments and Palm West Village apartments  in Anaheim, CA, you will get the opportunity to uphold those standards by being active in all facets of the day-to-day operation of your property.

As an Assistant Tax Credit Property Manager, you will work closely with the Property Manager in overseeing the tax credit and compliance functions of the property. This position assumes responsibility for the community in the property manager's absence. The Assistant Tax Credit Property Manager accurately completes mandatory tax credit functions including completion of TICs, verifications of employment and past rental history, requests for increases of housing authorities, recertification’s and compiling of resident file for approval by the Compliance manager. This position is based at Renaissance Park Apartments but will additionally be serving in this role for Palm West Village apartments, occasionally visiting the property for tours or other operational needs. The opportunity to live onsite at one of our properties will be available but optional for the hired candidate.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for compliance with all local, state, and federal agency regulations.
• Preparation of TIC during move in and recertification as necessary.
• Scheduling and conducting recertifications with all residents.
• Entering and updating information in computer system.
• Management of subsidy payment requests and changes. Filing necessary paperwork on time, with the approval of District Manager and Compliance Manager.
• Following up on emergency calls and after-hours maintenance.
• Maintaining resident files.
• Maintaining resident files in accordance with company policy and program requirements.
• Conducting resident orientations.
• Assisting with rent collections and bookkeeping.
• Developing and maintaining good resident and community relationships.
• Handling resident concerns in the absence of the Property Manager.
• Participating in other projects and activities as assigned.

Qualifications: 

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 2 years of college education is preferred. 
• 1-year minimum tax credit experience preferred.
• Yardi experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local fair housing and landlord/tenant laws.
• Must be familiar with all aspects of residential property management.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Must possess strong bookkeeping and organizational skills.
• Must demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills.
• Results-oriented, critical thinking, sound decision-making and time management skills.
• Ability to assimilate information, analyze financial data, and prepare budget reports and administration.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment.

Compensation:

• $26-$28 hourly pay.
• This position is eligible for new move-in and renewal commissions.
