Overview

AW Specialties is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our growing Pump Reclamation Division.

This position is responsible for managing employees, overseeing production, maintaining organization throughout the facility, and ensuring customer orders are completed accurately and on schedule.

The Pump Reclamation Division services equipment for major oilfield customers and continues to grow each year. We are looking for a leader who can build a strong team, improve employee retention, maintain accountability, and create a productive work environment.

This is a hands-on leadership position. The successful candidate will spend time on the shop floor working directly with employees while also tracking production, planning workloads, and coordinating with company leadership.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Employee Management

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production employees.
• Establish clear expectations for attendance, performance, quality, and safety.
• Coach employees and address performance issues professionally and consistently.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages accountability and teamwork.
• Monitor staffing levels and make recommendations to management regarding workforce needs.

Production & Operations

• Plan and prioritize daily workloads to meet customer requirements.
• Track production output and monitor department performance.
• Ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase efficiency.
• Maintain production records and provide regular updates to management.
• Coordinate workflow between shifts and departments.

Organization & Inventory Control

• Maintain organization of customer-owned inventory and materials.
• Ensure products from multiple customers remain properly identified and segregated.
• Coordinate receiving, staging, processing, and shipping activities.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate material needs.

Safety & Quality

• Enforce company safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections of work areas and equipment.
• Ensure quality standards are consistently met.
• Investigate and resolve quality or production issues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising or managing employees in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, production, or service environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams and hold employees accountable.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience managing production schedules, workflow, or operations.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, and basic production reporting.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Pay: $25-$33 per hour, depending on experience, leadership background, and qualifications.
