Your Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients of all ages utilizing a blend of standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to meet immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Implement one-on-one speech therapy sessions that concentrate on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop and deliver comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families to support continuous improvement and progress outside the clinical setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring continuous care throughout the treatment process.
• Document clinical processes accurately and promptly, adhering to all state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to keep abreast of advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certification Requirements

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
