CT Tech PRN Days
Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.
Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately, preparing and administering contrast media and/or medications, observing patients during procedures, monitoring protocols, following radiation safety procedures, collecting patient history, verifying correct exams, maintaining patient confidentiality, completing consent and pregnancy forms, inputting and processing requisitions, starting intravenous access, managing patients with infiltrated IV sites, managing patients with elevated Creatinine levels, maintaining proper oxygen therapy, adjusting oxygen flow, securing and transporting e-cylinders, maintaining radiation safety for women of childbearing age, and documenting patient education.
The CT Tech PRN Days candidate will possess the following education, license/certifications, and experience: Certification Required: ARRT- R&N (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) and AZ Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE). Certification Required: ARRT- CT; obtain CT certification within 2 years of hire/transfer date. Certification Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association. Education Required: Graduate of an accredited radiology program. Work Experience Required: One (1) year experience as a radiologic technologist. Preferred: Previous CT experience.
