Field Project Manager Assistant

The Field Project Manager Assistant's responsibilities include monitoring project progress, following up with stakeholders on the completion or delay of project phases, scheduling meetings, and maintaining project documents and reports. This position is responsible for developing and monitoring operational and financial metrics throughout the region including standardization of workflows and billing procedures.

Essential functions and responsibilities include tracking the status of field construction projects, assisting in project scheduling, updating tracking and communication tools, monitoring and facilitating programs to collect production in the field using mobile communication platforms, validating proper work package submission for billing, assisting General Forepersons as necessary to resolve daily operational issues, monitoring and reporting on adherence to production reporting processes, validating and submitting reports to utility customers, coordinating and reviewing metrics for General Forepersons and Project Managers, ensuring customer billing submission and processing within contractual guidelines, reviewing GF productivity with Supervisors, identifying areas for improvement and best practices, training new hires on the proper billing process/submission, monitoring unit-based billing, determining profitable areas with monthly synopsis to the Regional Manager, developing a standard set of process maps for billing customers, ensuring timely submission, and performing other duties as required.

Minimum qualifications include being 18 years of age or older, having strong analytical skills, effective verbal and written communication with all levels of internal organization and the customer, intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and charts, experience using Smartsheet is preferred but not required, ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders, ability to anticipate needs, be proactive, resourceful, and flexible in a fast-paced environment, and ability to analyze large volumes of data and perform metrics analysis.

Education and experience include a two-year college degree in construction management, engineering, or other related areas or equivalent experience, and business experience is preferred.

License and certifications include a valid driver's license.

Physical requirements include rare stooping, kneeling, squatting, body twisting, crawling, climbing on/off a truck, climbing poles, gripping, climbing ladders, balancing, occasional standing, sitting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, seeing distant, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., seeing, reaching, range of motion, depth perception, color vision, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, lifting up to 10 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs., frequent walking, and continuous speaking clearly, reading, hearing-speech range.

Safety requirements include having sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, being able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, being able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, being able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, being able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, having the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, being capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, being able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
