Elections Office Driver

Job Summary The employee in this position transports and delivers election equipment to assigned voting precincts. Assists in loading and unloading election equipment.This position is Seasonal- temporary. Job Ad ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Duties include but are not limited to:• Oversee the safe transportation and delivery of election equipment.• Use good judgment and safe driving skills.• Driving County vehicles including cars vans & box trucks.• Assists in packing carts with voting equipment for precincts.• Assists in loading trucks with voting equipment.• Assists in the delivery of election equipment. • Assists in pick-up of election equipment.• Ability and willingness to follow Douglas County policies.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Drug and alcohol testing is performed on a consistent basis.Requirements: • Preferred: Class C CDL with passenger endorsement • High School Diploma/GED• One-year professional related work experience • Must have and maintain a valid United States Driver's License (Class C) a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) and the ability and willingness to drive a county vehicle; if assigned job duties require the use of a vehicle• Must successfully pass the Douglas County Safe Driver's Class.• Minimum 21 years of ageEmployment is contingent on passing a mandatory Physical/Drug Screen/Background Investigation and MVR.Salary: $25.00/hourly NO BENEFITSResumes may be attached but a resume without a completed application will not be considered."The recruitment selection appointment and promotion of employees shall be in such a manner as to promote equal employment for all persons without regard to race age color creed religion ancestry sex national origin physical handicap or political affiliation."
