Overview Murfreesboro Rehabilitation Hospital is hiring a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to be a part of our fast-paced and dedicated, innovative team with a highly experienced, new Director of Rehab. Murfreesboro Rehabilitation Hospital is located within TrustPoint Hospital offering the only acute, hospital-based inpatient physical rehabilitation in Rutherford County. Specializing in neuro and ortho, our patients are referred by outside hospitals in surrounding areas to our in-patient setting. We offer occupational, physical, speech, and respiratory therapy, in addition to other services like IV therapy, wound care, and rehabilitation nursing. Med/Surg experience highly preferred. Our rehabilitation hospital has a large therapy gym with state-of-the-art equipment and an "activities of daily living area" which includes a kitchen and laundry area. Patients receive focused care and comprehensive support they need throughout their journey to improved health. PURPOSE STATEMENT: Responsible for directing care to patients, facilitating work flow, service as a clinical resource for staff, and for providing team leadership on a shift to shift basis. health/nursing services in a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times. Collaborate with others to ensure that all patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and when they are not met, acknowledges and works to resolve customer complaints. Recognizes that patient safety is a top priority. Responsibilities Role models expectations related to customer service and demonstrates a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety Oversee a unit or work group for a specified shift. Provide direct care for patients as well as monitor and coordinate other nurses and members of the staff on the daily medical or behavioral health care activities of the unit. Schedule staff to ensure full coverage at all times and to ensure effective application of services. Lead, guide and train employees performing work. Oversee and provide direct nursing evaluation, consultation and other related care to patients as required. Coordinate services and maintain communication with other departments or staff as required. Oversee quality assurance activities and compliance to operational standards, participate in program development, development or implementation of operating policy and procedure and promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices as requested. Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, case managers, coworkers and others in an effective manner. Complete and maintain required documentation. OTHER FUNCTIONS: Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. Qualifications BSN preferred. Current registered nursing license in State of facility required.
