Job Duties

• Design Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs and create personalized therapy strategies to help them meet their functional milestones
• Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methods to elevate patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and day-to-day activities
• Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Partner closely with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to guarantee comprehensive, patient-centered care
• Educate Patients and Family Members: Teach patients and their families about therapeutic techniques to support their progress at home
• Track and Document Progress: Monitor treatment outcomes and tweak strategies as necessary to keep patients on track

Education Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Encouragement and support for ongoing education or advanced certifications

Licensing and Certifications

• Current, active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
• NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is required
