Associate Director, Strategic Forecasting

Merck

Associate Director responsible for developing strategic forecasts across pharmaceutical products and indications, translating forecasting outputs into actionable business insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including market research, data science, and commercial stakeholders to inform marketing strategy.

Responsibilities

Determine appropriate forecast modeling approaches and tools for assigned assets and indications
Develop and deliver forecasts and insights aligned with enterprise forecasting cycles across matrixed teams
Partner with marketing, market research, data science, and payer analytics to build insights strategies
Monitor actual performance against forecasts and communicate drivers to business stakeholders
Serve as thought leader and strategic partner establishing trust-based relationships with business teams

Requirements

Undergraduate degree in related discipline
5+ years delivering complex analytical projects in pharmaceutical/biotech using market research and large databases
Experience developing forecast models and related analytics such as scenario analysis
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional, matrixed teams with empathy
Strong problem-solving skills with data-oriented analytical methods and independent work ability
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
