Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Prior experience interpreting in educational settings is a plus

• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students and educators
• Appropriate interpreter certification or credentials for education settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clear and effective interpretation between spoken English and sign language during classroom instruction and school events
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and special education teams to ensure students receive appropriate support
• Support students’ understanding of academic content, classroom routines, and social interactions
• Prepare for lessons and activities to ensure effective communication and engagement
• Utilize strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and administrators
