CCI is looking for a Delivery Driver (CDL A) in our Lansing, Michigan region.What You Will Do:As a Delivery Driver, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:Assists with maintaining warehouse conditions to a high standard of safety, organization, and cleanliness inside and outside facilityChecks documentation for completeness and accuracyInspects loads to ensure that cargo is secureReports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damageMaintains logs and other documentation, as requiredFollows delivery instructions accordinglyChecks condition of trailers and equipment, reporting any issues immediatelySecures cargo for transport, using provided and required equipmentFollows appropriate safety procedures for transporting goodsPerforms basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including emergency roadside repairsMust have basic Construction materials/tools knowledgeLoad and unload trucks utilizing forkliftRepair and maintain tools and equipmentPrepare orders for deliveryDrive trucks, and deliver orders to construction sitesPerform basic computer functionsMaintains vehicle yardWhat You Will Bring to the Team:Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:Two (2) years of applicable experience delivering equipment.Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Current and valid class A CDL.Requires a good driving record, and must comply with DOT and other applicable requirements.-or- Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.Additional Eligibility QualificationsValid driver's license.Basic knowledge and understanding of construction instruments/tools.Ability to learn new systems and technologies.Must be able to work at a fast and steady pace to meet production goals.Ability to operate large equipment safely.Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.Expected Hours of Work and Travel: Full time position. Occasional extended hours and weekends may apply. Travel to project sites to make deliveries is required.
