Job TitleThis position is responsible for operating paint linesEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMust be mechanically inclined and able to use hand toolsPaint parts as necessary to meet production standards.Must be able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics, torque wrenches and various gauges and other tools.Perform source inspection as establishedPerform daily TPMUses stop the line authority at any sign of safety or quality concernsPerforms daily duties per work instructions / standard workCompletes all daily data collection as establishedMust perform daily 5S activitiesQualifications / Training / Skill RequirementsMust be able to read blueprintsMust have good understanding of inventory controlMust be able to follow written and verbal instructionsMust have or be able to obtain a fork truck licenseMust recognize the importance of working in a safe mannerAbility to understand what constitutes quality productsPossess basic math skillsAverage or above average skills in numeric and visual recallMust be computer literateMust be able to obtain PAPR certificationMust be clean shavenEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDExperience RequirementsPaint application experience is preferred.Physical DemandsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to work in sometimes extreme temperaturesGeneral SkillsTeamwork: Able to communicate effectively, participate as a member of a team and work well with others to maximize efficiency.Quality: Familiar with company policies and demonstrates knowledge of relevant procedures and importance of producing quality products.Safety: Follows general and equipment specific safety rules.
