Forensic Auditor Gs-0511-12
The major duties of the Forensic Auditor GS-0511-12 position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provides advice and assistance to ATF Special Agents and to federal, state, and local prosecutors as to his/her findings regarding the financial condition, sources, and uses of funds, and/or other financial aspects of the investigation.
- Plans and conducts financial investigations of persons or entities suspected of being involved in criminal schemes.
- Prepares reports, exhibits, and/or charts summarizing their findings depending on the nature of the assignment and the needs of the end user.
- Research applicable databases and analyzes pertinent financial records and provides investigative leads based on results of interviews and financial analysis.
- Provides formal and informal training to ATF and/or non-ATF personnel in financial investigative techniques, auditing, or related fields.
