Residential Counselor-On-Call

Overview Location: Elmont | Schedule: Per-Diem up to 19 hours | Status: Non-Exempt | Salary: $20.35/hour The Opportunity FCA is seeking Residential Counselors for our 24-hour supervised community residence for adults over age 18 who suffer from persistent mental illness. The residential program assists its residents with learning the skills necessary to move on to a more independent living environment. Responsibilities Provide counseling and supervision to residents and assist them in the development and implementation of their service plan. Oversee recreational program and outings. Supervise residents with daily activities. Complete required paperwork accurately and thoroughly and submit by the required deadline. Ensure the Medication Management and Training procedures are properly followed. Coordinate residents' care with outside agencies by establishing and maintaining open communication in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Transport residents to and from appointments and recreational activities as needed. Perform bed checks and morning wake-ups when needed.
