Job Description Job Description Assembly Supervisor – 2nd Shift Location: Cary, IL Schedule: 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (Potential extension until 1:00 AM Monday–Thursday) Training: 4–5 weeks on 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 Position Type: Direct Hire Are you a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys coaching teams, improving production processes, and driving results? We are seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to lead a team of 25–35 production employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Supervise and lead a team of 25–35 hourly production employees. Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety goals are consistently achieved. Coordinate workflow and material movement between production, engineering, quality, planning, shipping, and receiving. Monitor work-in-process (WIP), inventory, and production performance. Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and manufacturing issues. Coach, mentor, and develop employees while maintaining accountability. Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate production reporting and ERP/MES transactions. What We're Looking For 2+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience (3–5+ years preferred). Experience leading production teams in a discrete manufacturing environment. Background in assembly, fabrication, machining, metal forming, or industrial manufacturing. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Mechanically inclined with experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Experience working with ERP systems; MES experience is a plus. High School Diploma or GED required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual English/Spanish. Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Great Plains ERP. Welding or metal fabrication experience. Why Join Us?
