Teaching Fellow- Psychology

Position Overview St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, invites applications for a half‑time Teaching Fellow position in Psychology at the University's Mount Mercy campus, located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for the 2026-2027 academic year. Start date is August 17, 2026. Qualifications Preferred qualifications include a doctorate (ABD considered) or master's degree in psychology or related field and experience teaching required courses. Applicants with demonstrated university‑level teaching experience will receive special consideration. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach broadly in a clinical or applied area with some combination of the following courses: Theories of Counseling, Abnormal, Health, Tests and Measurements, Psychology of Trauma, and/or Lifespan Development. Preference will be given to candidates with clinical experience. This position may be ideal for someone who wants to supplement a practice in the Cedar Rapids area. Responsibilities Teach two (2) in‑person undergraduate courses per semester in psychology at the Cedar Rapids campus. Participate in psychology faculty department activities and advise undergraduate psychology majors. Have a willingness to engage in face‑to‑face and online teaching modalities as needed.
