We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support payroll processing and related administrative functions. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, comfortable working with confidential information, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment. Responsibilities include assisting with processing weekly, biweekly, or semimonthly payroll, entering and verifying employee time, hours worked, and payroll data, reviewing timesheets for accuracy and missing information, processing payroll changes, deductions, reimbursements, and adjustments, maintaining accurate employee payroll records, assisting with new hire payroll setup and employee updates, responding to employee questions regarding paychecks, deductions, and payroll information, preparing payroll reports as needed, assisting with payroll reconciliations and record keeping, maintaining confidentiality of employee and company information, coordinating with supervisors and managers to resolve payroll discrepancies, and supporting accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements include previous payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred, strong attention to detail and accuracy, comfort working with numbers and data entry, ability to handle confidential information professionally, strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to meet payroll deadlines, good written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with payroll or HR software is a plus. Preferred skills include payroll processing, timekeeping systems, data entry, payroll reconciliation, employee record maintenance, basic accounting knowledge, Excel, HRIS or payroll software.
