Azure Engineer

Salary: $125,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer, Systems Engineer, or in a similar hands-on cloud role
• At least five years of IT experience, including dedicated hands-on cloud infrastructure engineering
• Advanced practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure, core services, and identity and access management, including Entra ID
• Knowledge of Azure infrastructure best practices and reference architectures
• Strong command of cloud networking principles, including VNets, ExpressRoute, VPNs, NSGs, private endpoints, DNS, and routing
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and scripting tools such as Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI
• Knowledge of cloud security practices, access management, and infrastructure hardening
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team, with strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft enterprise services, Power BI, or Power Platform is a plus
• Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) are preferred

• Design and architect scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure supporting our nationwide retail operations and corporate workloads
• Provision, optimize, and maintain Azure IaaS and PaaS resources, including App Services, API Gateways, Azure Front Door, Azure SQL Managed Instances, and cloud storage
• Design, configure, and maintain Azure networking components, including VNets, subnets, peering, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, UDRs, private endpoints, and NSGs
• Manage and govern identity and access across Azure environments using Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, and Conditional Access
• Help design, implement, and manage automation and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep
• Monitor cloud systems and security daily, verify resource integrity and availability, and review Log Analytics and Application Insights
• Lead capacity planning, performance reporting, and FinOps resource optimization to support reliability and cost efficiency
• Provide hands-on escalation support to operations, development, and engineering teams
• Work with engineering and security colleagues to improve and deploy cloud monitoring, access controls, and security baselines
• Tune performance, upgrade architectures, and optimize resources as needed
