Night OB Registered Nurse

The Night OB Registered Nurse independently provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the OB unit. This role requires a demonstration of clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to improving the quality of patient care. The OB RN will perform general and unit-specific clinical skills while assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplies and equipment effectively.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and personnel of the unit and other hospital departments.
• Adhere to all Standards of Nursing Practice, including confidentiality and hospital policies.
• Implement and evaluate age-appropriate care for all patients in the department (antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gyn patients).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• One year minimum of acute care experience as an RN.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, and STABLE certification required.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficient computer skills.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
