\nSunday - Thursday Evenings to Start, New Shift Bids Every 6 Months
\nPay starts at $35.90 and rises after 90 days
\n \nBasic Purpose: To provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment.
\n \nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform preventative maintenance within company standards.
\n - \n
Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM list and parts accountability.
\n - \n
Handle road service calls; perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
\n - \n
Keep track of assigned repairs by logging in and out of the software system.
\n - \n
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
\n - \n
Maintain inventory and proper recordkeeping.
\n - \n
Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.
\n - \n
Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and Certifications.
\n - \n
Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
\n- \n
- \n
Must have 5 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
\n - \n
Diagnostic and troubleshooting ability using fleet maintenance software.
\n - \n
Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n - \n
Must furnish own personal hand tools.
\n - \n
Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations pertaining to the shop and fleet.
\n - \n
Ability to read and understand technical and service manuals.
\n - \n
Excellent communication skills; able to communicate with co-workers and drivers with demonstrated teamwork skills.
\n - \n
Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
\n - \n
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
\n - \n
Computer and software experience.
\n - \n
High school diploma or equivalent required.
\n - \n
Must possess a valid driver's license.
\n
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
\n- \n

JPRO software experience.
\n - \n
Welding ability
\n - \n
Knowledge with electrical schematics
\n - \n
Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
\n - \n
Leadership experience or qualifications
\n - \n
Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
\n - \n
EPA 608 (Type 2 or Universal) certification
\n

Kneel/bend Occasionally 5. Bend Frequently 6. Reach above shoulder Occasionally 7. Grasp objects Frequently Type: 8. Manipulate objects Frequently type: 9. Twisting Occasionally
1 (Push/Pull: Hand truck, gate, straps, metal ramp, truck door, dolly, boxes, truck gear shift)
\n2 (Climb/Balance: In/Out Truck/Trailer to cab. On/Off ramp to ground level and side doorsteps and Platform of trailer. Stairs)
\n3 (Grasp Objects: Hand truck, boxes, cartons, steering wheel)
\n4 (Manipulate Objects: Boxes, dolly, metal truck ramp, hand truck, paperwork, truck gate, straps)
\n5 (Manual Dexterity: Typing, use of office machines such as copiers, printers)
\n \nCompensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $35.90 and $39.90. This role may also receive overtime compensation where applicable.
