We are currently hiring for an Ophthalmic Technician based out of our Fort Dodge Clinic.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Document patient's medical and ocular histories in electronic medical record.
• Perform patient workups.
• Complete diagnostic testing, such as retinoscopy, manual refraction, applanation A-scan, keratometry, tonometry, OCT's and visual fields.
• Provide patient education according to physician instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Travel to other offices as needed.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Medical office experience required.
• Ophthalmic testing experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Experience providing excellent patient care.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and communicate concerns regarding the results of diagnostic testing.
