This is a high-visibility, high-growth operating role built for an exceptional ex-management-consultant or strategy-and-operations operator who can function as a true thought partner — bringing analytical horsepower, structured problem-solving, polish, and sound judgment to the most important priorities facing the business.If you've spent the last 3–5 years in management consulting, strategy, private equity, investment banking, or a high-growth startup, and you're looking for the kind of ownership, executive exposure, and impact that a Chief of Staff role at a scaling company offers, this is for you. You'll sit at the center of the company's operating rhythm and strategic agenda, drive execution across the leadership team, and serve as a trusted extension of the CEO.We are considering applications for both full-time and externship / secondment roles, with a preference for candidates interested in a full-time opportunity with RM.Why This Role Is ExcitingPE-backed value creation: Own and drive the value creation agenda for a portfolio company of a leading North American private equity investor — the same work you'd advise on as a consultant, now as an operator.AI transformation, hands-on: Build practical experience applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern tooling to a scaled industry incumbent.CEO’s-office exposure: Direct, daily partnership with the CEO and sponsor team, with a seat in the room for board prep, strategy, and the decisions that move the business.Accelerated path: A launchpad into senior operating, strategy, or general management roles at a high-growth company.Core ResponsibilitiesOwn the operating cadence: ELT staff meetings, operational rhythm, business performance reviews, and board meeting preparation and follow-through.Integrate across functions: Keep decisions, initiatives, and communication coordinated, with transparent accountability on deliverables — including cross-functional execution of the company's value creation plan.Lead strategic and long-term planning: Build and run an annual/quarterly planning calendar that maps and preps board and ELT obligations well in advance, in close partnership with the CEO and sponsor team.Treat priorities as projects: Build work plans, structure workstreams, track milestones, and manage high-priority injects (board inquiries, customer escalations) as they surface.Be a trusted confidant and communicator: Anticipate issues and act as extra eyes and ears for the CEO and the leadership team; synthesize complex inputs into clear executive-ready readouts.DisclaimerThis description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of this position.What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree or higher in a related field preferred3–5 years of experience in management consulting (e.g., MBB or comparable), strategy, private equity, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a Chief of Staff / strategy-and-operations role at a high-growth or venture-backed startup.Exceptional structured problem-solving, analytical, and synthesis skills — comfortable building work plans, financial/operational analyses, and board-quality decks from scratch.Strong executive communication and stakeholder management; able to operate with senior leaders and a PE sponsor.High ownership, bias for action, and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving, scaling environment.Proficiency with modern productivity and AI tooling a plus.Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus.Dallas-based / willing to work in-office.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach as needed.Ability to lift or move objects up to 10–15 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies).Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.Visual acuity to read printed materials, spreadsheets, and computer screens.Hearing and speech ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in virtual meetings.Ability to work in a standard office environment with moderate noise levels.Ability to work a standard schedule, with occasional extended hours as required.RealManage is a value based, equal opportunity employer.
