Position Details Location: St. Petersburg, FL Pay Range: $18.75 Schedule: Consistent 12-hour shifts (3-4 per week) Evening/Night (Wed-Fri or Sun-Tues alternating Saturdays): 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Rotating weekends required Competitive Benefits Package: Insurance Options – Major medical, dental, and vision coverage available. Career‑Oriented – Looking for growth opportunities and long‑term stability. Minimum Requirements: Must be 18 years or older for unarmed security officer roles; 21+ for armed security guard roles. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must pass a background check in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening (where permitted by law). Security guard licensing/certification may be required depending on state or local regulations (must be obtained prior to employment). Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Preferred but Not Required: Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement is a plus. Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours) Ability to conduct foot patrols, including stair climbing Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including in heat and humidity Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds as needed Why Join Signal of Tampa Bay?
