Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician

At Truck Country, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing medium- and heavy-duty trucks, ensuring both our fleet and our customers’ trucks stay on the road. What You’ll Do: Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty trucks. Use advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot engine and system issues. Accurately document findings and repairs using company-provided laptops and software. Work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented shop environment. Engage in ongoing training and development to stay up to date with the latest repair techniques and technologies. Required Qualifications: Experience working with medium- or heavy-duty trucks. Basic computer skills, including diagnostic software. Proficiency with power and hand tools. Strong attention to detail and a clean, organized workspace. Excellent communication skills for documenting and relaying repair findings. Preferred Qualifications: 1–2 years of experience as a Diesel Technician, especially with Class 8 vehicles. Certifications for Detroit or Cummins engines (priority hiring for certified candidates). CDL license (preferred but not required). Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
